Our Approach To Gut Health
At Lavage Colon Hydrotherapy, we believe that a healthy gut is at the foundation of overall health, mental clarity and a strong sense of well being. We specialize in colon cleansing through safe and effective 60-minute hydrotherapy sessions and coffee enemas. The colon's main function is to form and eliminate waste. When a colon is congested, waste backs up, and releases toxins through the bowel walls and into the bloodstream and can cause disease and deplete energy. Our certified practitioner are dedicated to educating individuals about gut health and providing holistic healthcare solutions that support the body's natural healing process.

Meet Candice
Candice is the founder and sole operator at Lavage Colon Hydrotherapy. She has always been passionate about natural health. Her own healing journey began in 2013, when she was diagnosed with ITP (Immune thrombocytopenic purpura), a potentially fatal bleeding disorder where white blood cells attack platelets; which are necessary for normal blood clotting. After rejecting mainstream treatments due to serious negative side effects, Candice recovered from this condition within 6 months after pursuing a course of natural health treatments including: Colon Hydrotherapy, Chelation Therapy, Vitamin Therapy, Alkaline based diets, and Wheat Grass. After experiencing such dramatic results in her own healing, she was excited to look deeper into the natural health world and see what else it had to offer. One practice that caught her attention was Colon Hydrotherapy! She believes that Colon Hydrotherapy is the ultimate starting point for everyone to reach Optimal Health. A significant portion of our health begins in our gut, and in our colon. Candice is a proud wife to her husband of 20 years. Together, they are dedicated to raising 4 children. Taking care of their children's health is their utmost concern. Candice feels grateful to have come into this line of work as it has empowered her and her family to take their health into their own hands. Candice strives to maintain a healthy balance between her work life and family life.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How many sessions should I have? The number of sessions can vary from person to person, depending on your goals and state of health, level of toxicity, etc. Usually 3-10 colonic sessions in conjunction with supplements and dietary protocol will completely clear the colon. Based on your initial consultation and your first session, we can offer suggestions that will support you to make the optimum choice. One session will not completely empty the colon, as it takes time to rehydrate and soften any dried and layered fecal matter (mucoid plaque) until it is loosened enough to be released.
-
Will it be painful or embarrassing? No. At the most, some people may feel a slight cramping as the colon contracts with the gentle flow of purified water. Most people can feel the speculum, but it is not painful. Clients have the choice of being fully clothed on the top, and a draped with a towel for modesty. The room is kept warm to ensure your comfort, and the procedure is discrete and respectful.
-
How long will it take and what can I expect? Each treatment includes a consultation and takes about an hour. It consists of a series of gentle cleansing water fills and releases, along with abdominal massage and deep breathing suggestions.
-
What if I am constipated? To maximize the benefits of your treatment, Colon Hydrotherapy will encourage the restoration of the colon. Laxatives are an irritant to the body. The body will produce a thin, watery substance that goes through the colon and leaves behind impacted toxins and waste.
-
How safe is Colon Hydrotherapy?Your safety is of paramount importance. Modern equipment constantly maintains the water temperature and pressure within the suggested limits and the FDA insists that a new, single use disposable speculum is used for each treatment
-
What can I expect after a treatment? After your first session, it is not uncommon to feel a little tired, mild cramping or bloating. You may also have another gentle release post colonic, nothing that would prevent you from going about your normal daily activities though. It is also not uncommon to not have a bowel movement the morning after a productive colonic. Most discomfort post colonic will subside the next day. However, occasionally, some clients may feel a little under the weather for around 24 hours. If you have any concerns, or you feel unwell, contact your Colon Therapist Candice. It is also not uncommon to leave a session light on your feet, with an abundant amount of energy and somewhat euphoric.
-
Can I have a colonic during my period?Yes, your body is already cleansing with your period and this is a perfect time to have a colonic. If you have a tampon in, you can still receive a Colonics.
-
Can a person become dependent on Colonics? No. Colon hydrotherapy strengthens the muscle tone of the colon by giving it a workout as the colon contracts and pushes the water out. The better your peristalsis (muscle contraction) the better the elimination, and the healthier the body. The treatment encourages the body to regain its natural rhythm.
-
Is it safe for me to do Colon Hydrotherapy while pregnant?Lavage Colon Hydrotherapy will not do colonics on pregnant ladies. Having a session during the first trimester could cause a miscarriage and during the third trimester it is possible to cause preterm labor. If there is a chance you could be pregnant, do not book.
-
What conditions is Colon Therapy NOT recommended for?Cancer of the colon/rectum, Intestinal Ulcers, Kidney Insufficiency or failure, Severe Hemorrhoids, Recent colon/rectal or abdominal surgery, Acute Anemia, Abdominal hernia, Pregnancy, Bleeding Colitis, Severe Cardiac Disease, Aneurysm, GI Hemorrhage/Perforation, Cirrhosis of the Liver, Fissures/Fistulas

What is the Cancellation Policy?Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapist's day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 48 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged 100% cancellation fee to the card on file.
